Our Story
Chenbao Hydrotechnical Inc. is located in Calgary, Alberta, and provides various Hydrotechnical Engineering services for clients in all areas of oil and gas, midstream pipelines, and public and private sectors. We have worked on projects in multiple locations, including Alberta, Saskatchewan, British Columbia, Northwest Territories, Quebec, and Nova Scotia. We have also worked on a variety of international projects in Zhejiang, China and Alaska, USA.
Our mission is to help our clients find practical, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly solutions on time and within budget while holding regulatory requirements to the highest standard.

Dalei Chen, M.Sc., P.Eng.
As the founder and the principal engineer, Dalei Chen brings more than 30 years of international Hydrotechnical experience, with his expertise covering hydrology, hydraulics, engineering design, and construction management.
Dalei works closely with his clients at every stage of a project and provides high-level advice, including the ideas of possible solutions and the regulatory approvals required for each solution before the commencement of a project.
Open communication is of the utmost importance to Dalei when communicating with his clients to deliver a project on time, on budget, and above expectations.
